January 2011 Meeting Summary


Attendance:  29 members, 1 STAR Kid and 2 guests

President/VP Report:  Officers announced -- Secretary: Tiffany B.; Treasurer: Lynn R.; Sergeant At Arms: Ann C.; Road Captain: Jim M.; Vet Rep: Don C.; LOS Rep: Betsy L.; Membership: Dan & Ginny O.; Kids/Teens: still open; Sunshine: Alice K.


Treasurer's report accepted as read, with reminder that it is time to pay Chapter dues for 2011
LobSTAR Bake 2011:  Mike Fontana built a jail cell.


Sunshine: Alice & Frank are in Florida


LOS Rep:  Last year’s charity was breast cancer.  Woody’s would like to do a ride again in 2011, and it has been scheduled for 7/23/11.  There has been talk about choosing the Dempsey Center as this year’s charity. 


STAR Vet Rep:  5/21/11 ride for Armed Forces Day


STAR Kids/Teens:  position is currently vacant


STAR Membership:  Ginny indicated that she had heard about STAR through word-of-mouth.  She & Dan are looking for any and all suggestions from the Chapter.


Road Captain:  Hoping to have every ride be fun and have an actual destination.  Jim said that he wants to be involved in every pre-ride.  He would also like to organize a 2nd (non-meeting) ride per month. 


STATE Rally Committee:  The new date that has been proposed is 5/14/11, which will need to be approved

New business:  Maine Children’s Cancer Program Owie Box Ride: 7/9/11.  Possibility of Seacoast Fun Park in May
