Membership Application
As a chapter of STAR Touring and Riding Association, we are guided by our National Charter. As per our STAR Touring and Riding Association charter, we utilize a three ride rule for those considering membership into a chapter in STAR. This means that you, as an interested party, may ride with a chapter three times before deciding to join STAR Touring and Riding Association. This also gives the chapter members the opportunity to get to know you, to ride with you and to determine the level of your riding skills. We always think safety first! Also, in accordance with our National Charter, we endorse the NO ALCOHOL/NO DRUG policy. We ask that you do NOT indulge before or during our sanctioned rides/meetings. We want you to enjoy your time with us but more importantly we want to do our best to ensure everyone’s safe return to our next meeting/ride. We ask that you ride with a clear mind to help maintain everyone’s safety! You will quickly learn that your membership with STAR Touring and Riding Association and with STAR Chapter 150 gives you an opportunity to embrace a whole new family to enjoy! We look forward to seeing you at our monthly “family reunions”! 1/1/10 STAR Touring & Riding Association Chapter Membership Application We are STAR Chapter 150 and we are based in Portland Maine. Our chapter is chartered under STAR Touring & Riding Association International. This chapter was formed on August 4, 2002 and received its charter on September 18, 2002. To be a member of this or any STAR chapter, one must be a current member of STAR Touring and Riding Association, International. Our chapter meetings are held on the first Saturday of each month (unless a holiday occurs on/near that day) at the Stroudwater Christian Church @ 1520 Westbrook Street in Portland. During riding season, May through October, we meet alternately at our supporting dealerships, Reynolds MotorSports in Gorham or Woody’s Performance in Topsham. Please see our website for more details or call one of the members listed below. Chapter rides are typically 4 to 5 hours in length and have been pre-ridden by its Ride Captain. This entails route planning, meal planning, destination stops and safety checks. We take great pride in our Chapter’s safety record. All rides adhere to STAR Touring and Riding Association’s mission statement and charter by-laws.
