LobSTAR Bake 2011: Things went very well. Everyone had lots of fun. Tiffany will send out a thank you card to Lancaster, PA for the whoopie pies that were sent up ahead of time. LOS Rep: The Strides Walk is coming up on 10/16/11 STAR Vet Rep: The plan is to take the canes to the Vet Home on the 9/24/11 Dempsey Ride STAR Kids/Teens: Kids are back in school STAR Membership: Ginny said that she will start carrying Chapter brochures in her bike. Dan Coffin has completed his 3 required rides. Chapter voted on membership, all in favor, none opposed -- welcome to Chapter 150, Pastor Dan & Kathi! Road Captain: Today's ride will go from Topsham to Rockland for lunch. Tomorrow is the UBM Toy Run. Brian will go to the Civic Center is anyone else is interested in going there. Otherwise, the group will go directly to the Windsor Fairgrounds to drop off their toys. The Dempsey Ride will be on 9/24/11. $20/bike. All money raised will go to the Dempsey Center. The ride will be leaving Woody's at 10 a.m. Website Committee: Committee needs to get together once the summer is over to learn the software. New business: 8/4/2012 is Chapter 150's 10th anniversary. This day will work out well because it is a scheduled meeting/ride day for the chapter anyway. Brian would like to do the original ride and invite past members. He would like to have a committee formed to start the planning process. Upcoming events: 9/17/11 - Chapter 495's 1 year anniversary; 9/24/11 - Dempsey Ride; 10/1/11 - our next meeting/last ride (a ride destination is still needed, leaving from Reynolds); 10/1/11 - Chapter 495's Firefighter Support ride; 10/16/11 - Breast Cancer Walk. Safety Minute of the Month: beware of shadows - could end up hitting pot holes! Leaves are starting to fall. Watch out for school kids Meeting adjourned: 9:52 a.m.
